Résumé : Après avoir rappelé des données démographiques qui rendent inévitable la confrontation au multiculturalisme, l’auteur souligne la nécessité de reconsidérer le concept de grécité autour duquel la Grèce a construit son identité depuis deux cents ans. Estimant que la tradition chrétienne, composante historique de cette identité nationale, offre les outils intellectifs pour comprendre l’horizon culturel de « l’autre », il plaide pour une approche herméneutique et périchorétique permettant aux Grecs d’être conscients de leur propre parcellarité et de refaçonner leur identité dans un nouveau contexte.
Abstract : After recalling the demographic data that make confrontation with multiculturalism inevitable, the author underlines the need to reconsider the concept of Greekness around which Greece has built its identity for two hundred years. Believing that the Christian tradition, the historical component of this national identity, offers the intellectual tools for understanding the cultural horizon of the « other », he pleads for a hermeneutic and perichoretic approach allowing the Greeks to be aware of their own fragmentedness and to reshape their identity in a new context.
