Le document luthéro – catholique Du conflit à la communion
Résumé : Membre catholique de la Commission internationale catholique-luthérienne, l’auteur présente successivement les différentes parties du document : le sens de la commémoration de la Réforme dans le contexte actuel et compte tenu de nouveaux éclairages sur Luther et son œuvre (chapitres 1 et 2) ; l’histoire de la « Réforme luthérienne » et de la « réponse catholique » (chapitre 3) ; la théologie de Luther à la lumière des dialogues luthéro-catholiques (chapitre 4) ; la Mémoire du passé ainsi proposée et les « impératifs œcuméniques » (chapitres 5 et 6). Il conclut sur la spécificité du document qui ne propose pas un simple « état des lieux », mais se présente comme une parole commune des deux partenaires voulant permettre une juste commémoration de 1517.
Abstract : A catholic member of the International Catholic-Lutheran commission, the author presents in succession the different parts of the document : The meaning of the commemoration of the Reformation in our current context and informed by new insights on Luther and his work (chapters 1 and 2) ; The history of the « Lutheran Reformation » and the Catholic response (chapter 3) ; Luther’s theology in light of Lutheran-Catholic dialogues (chapter 4) ; The Memory of the past thus outlined and the « ecumenical imperatives » (chapters 5 and 6). He concludes on the specificity of the document that does not simply survey the situation but offers a common voice to both parties in order to fairly commemorate 1517.
