Le nouveau document social de l’Église orthodoxe : son orientation, son élaboration, son contexte et son importance
Résumé : Après avoir rappelé que les orthodoxes ont manifesté peu d’intérêt pour les questions sociales jusqu’à la publication de documents du patriarcat de Moscou, et en avoir exposé les justifications, l’auteur offre un aperçu du contenu de « Pour la vie du monde », puis il en éclaire l’élaboration, le contexte et l’importance en se demandant s’il témoigne d’une avancée vers un cosmopolitisme orthodoxe et conclut qu’il est plutôt un nouveau témoignage d’une différenciation continue et aux multiples facettes au sein de l’orthodoxie.
Abstract : After recalling that the Orthodox showed little interest in social issues until the publication of records of the Moscow Patriarchate, and having exposed this development’s justifications, the author offers an overview of the content of “For the life of the world”. Then he sheds light on its development, context and importance by asking whether it bears witness to a movement towards an Orthodox cosmopolitanism, and concludes that it is rather a new testimony to a continuous and multifaceted differentiation within Orthodoxy.
