L’Église orthodoxe dans l’Afrique contemporaine
Résumé : Après un rappel historique des racines de l’Orthodoxie sur le continent africain, l’auteur présente les initiatives africaines à l’origine de son expansion au sud du Sahara puis la relance de la mission grecque, au Kenya et sous l’impulsion des archevêques Makarios de Chypre et Anastasios puis du patriarche Théodore II d’Alexandrie.
Abstract : After a historical sketch outlining the roots of Orthodoxy on the African continent, the author deals with African initiatives leading to expansion south of the Sahara, and then with a spurred interest in the Greek mission in Kenya spearheaded by Archbishops Makarios of Cyprus and Anastasios, and then by Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria.
