Le Receptive Ecumenism selon Paul D. Murray
Résumé : L’auteur analyse le concept d’« œcuménisme réceptif », élaboré par Paul D. Murray, théologien laïc catholique britannique, dont le principe est de recevoir des autres traditions pour enrichir la sienne ; après avoir rappelé les circonstances de son élaboration, il en décrit les caractéristiques, notamment la place de la conversion au cœur des relations entre les Églises, puis les implications pour penser l’Église comme réalité en croissance vers son accomplissement eschatologique.
Abstract : The author analyzes the concept of “receptive ecumenism”, developed by the British Catholic lay theologian, Paul D. Murray. Its principle is to receive from other traditions to enrich one’s own. After recalling the circumstances of its development, the author describes its characteristics, in particular the place of conversion at the heart of relations between the Churches, then the implications for thinking of the Church as a reality growing towards its eschatological fulfillment.
